AN artist from Mellor, whose work has been exhibited world wide, is returning home to show off some Lancashire landscapes this weekend.
Alistair Makinson, 41, of Church Lane, took up painting 12 years ago after an elbow injury and has had his work displayed in Barcelona and Beaver Creek, Colorado.
He will show 35 paintings, mainly scenes from the Ribble Valley, at the Millstone Hotel, also in Church Lane, this weekend.
Mr Makinson said: "Nowadays I mainly exhibit in London, but it's really nice to get home and remember my roots. I'll enjoy this weekend."
The exhibition will be open from 7pm to 9.30pm on Friday and 11am to 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
