IN response to D Walter's comment that the BBC should show more patriotism (Letters, April 3) I can only thank the BBC and its reporters for telling us the reality of this war.
It is well known over here, in the US, that all reports getting to our newspapers and TV are heavily doctored, spruced up, star spangly, with no blood or dead children seen. That might decrease the patriotic support for this mass, government-sanctioned murder of innocent civilians.
I, like many other people over here, have turned to the BBC for more honest, less biased reports.
ELIZABETH JONES, North Carolina, USA.
