A POPULAR Bury supermarket closes its aisles for the final time on Friday after 33 years in business.
Kwik Save's Derby Street outlet, which opened in the early 1970s, is to shut its doors to customers at noon.
The store will make way for the £50million "Rock Triangle" redevelopment, with proposals for the site including shops, offices and leisure facilities.
Cash office supervisor Maureen Icely said: "We have had quite a few customers coming in to say how sorry they are. Some of them have been shopping here for more than 30 years. They tell us the staff have been great and that there has always been a real community feel to the place. We have always appreciated our customers and would like to thank them in return."
