BROAD Oak High School pupil Jade Rhodes is to appear in a new British film from the same stable as the hit movie "East is East".

Jade plays a little girl called Ebony and appears alongside "The Full Monty" star Mark Addy and Ruth Jones from "Fat Friends" in "Heartlands".

The film, which is released on May 2, tells the story of a man who decides to give up his local shop and travel on an odyssey across the heartlands of England to retrieve his first love, his friends and his dignity.

It is set in the beautiful, mysterious landscape of the Peak District in the North of England, populated by a bizarre collection of campers, ramblers and hikers.

Jade (12) is the latest in a long line of success stories from the Carol Godby Theatre Workshop where she has been training to be an actress for the last two years.
