BRIDE Paula Roberts made sure she had something blue to take along for her landmark wedding to Manchester City fan John Boswell.
The couple, of Belgrave Drive, Radcliffe, were married at Maine Road, where each holds a season ticket.
Their wedding is the last expected to take place at the ground before it closes to make way for the club's move to the City of Manchester Stadium. A service and reception took place in the Kippax stand's Millennium Suite, with 35 guests turning out to show their support. Warehouse manager John (43) and midwife Paula (38), pictured together at the ceremony in the famous ground, knew each other through John's sister, but teamed up romantically through their mutual love of City.
Paula said: "It was special to have the wedding in such a familiar place and nice that we could look out onto our seats as the wedding took place. The registrar was a City fan and so are most of our family and friends. According to the registrar, it was last wedding to be booked there, so it's nice to be part of a bit of Maine Road history."
Paula added: "The only thing that spoilt the honeymoon was losing 2-0 to Bolton."
