BLACKBURN boss Graeme Souness warned his players that they could find themselves on the end of a backlash against Charlton.
With both sides desperate for a win to keep their hopes of a top-six finish alive, Souness knows the game is a six-pointer.
The Addicks are eager to put last week's humiliating 6-1 defeat against Leeds firmly behind them but Souness is determined that Rovers won't become the victims of their revenge mission.
"This is a dangerous game for us, make no mistake about it," warned Souness.
"This is a classic case of the man on the street thinking we won 4-0 on Monday and they lost 6-1 last Saturday so tomorrow's result should be a formality, but football doesn't work like that.
"They are professional players with a great deal of pride so they will be hurting after last week and they'll want to put that right.
"So we can't afford to take anything for granted and I'm sure our supporters appreciate that.
"Charlton are a solid, well organised side who are difficult to play against and I've got a lot of respect for the job Alan Curbishley has done there.
"But we've got a great chance of really damaging them if we beat them so it's a six-pointer."
