ROSEGROVE Infant School is celebrating the results published from a recent Ofsted inspection.

The report concluded that the work was of such a high standard that there were no key issues.

Headteacher Mrs Angela Barker said: "I am thrilled for all the pupils, parents and staff who have worked so hard to make it possible. The standards indicate that all pupils fulfil their potential due to the high quality of the teaching and the stimulating and rich curriculum that matches pupils needs very effectively."

Following their succes, staff and pupils enjoyed a fun day with Bertie Bee from Burnley FC.

The sponsored shoot-out event was well supported and raised £3,000 to be shared between the school and the club.

HARDACRE Quality Foods in Maden Gold, Gannow Lane, has applied for planning permission to extend the premises.

Any comments must be sent to the planning department at Burnley Borough Council, Parker Lane, quoting application number app/2003/-164 before April 15.

LOWERHOUSE Bowling Club are looking for bowlers to join the club and play in the different leagues the club has entered this year. They have started off the season with winning their opening three games in three different leagues.
