A CONCERT of Russian Gypsy and world music comes to the Platform in Morecambe on Easter Saturday (April 19).
'Kesha' is a new trio of virtuoso musicians featuring Oleg Ponamarev, the Russian gypsy who achieved fame all over Europe as violinist and composer with Loyko.
Loyko received a five star review at the Edinburgh Festival, appeared on stage in Brussels with Yehudi Menuhin and Ravi Shankar and also sold out the Platform on their first appearance .
The band play a revolutionary mix of Russian, gypsy, klezmer and folk spiced with jazz and world music in a unique emotional and creative flow.
Kesha also features the talents of Scottish jazz guitarist Nigel Clark - from the renowned 1980's band Hue and Cry - and celebrated Croatian guitarist Drazen Derek.
Described by Irish Music Magazine as 'a fresh new phenomenon', the audience can expect a show packed with superb musicianship, fire and emotion.
The concert will start at 8pm and tickets priced at £9 (adults) and £8 (concessions) are available from the box office on 01524-582803.
