ON Saturday, March 29, the re-surfacing of Green Lane in Blackburn commenced.
Traffic was reduced to one lane and there were no temporary traffic lights set up.
The traffic was chaotic and if there were no accidents it must have been a miracle.
Why was work started on such a busy route without lights in operation?
Come Monday, temporary lights were set up, but the siting of cones caused problems with the buses and setting up of bollards and new pavements jutting out into the road did not help the situation.
B WHITE (Mr), Risedale Grove, Blackburn.
