BRAVO to David Mitchell, (Protesters should be ashamed, Citizen March 27) for his courageous stance on the work-shy hippies, whose benefit payments come from taxes paid by our valiant armed forces.
Many of the protesters don't give a damn about their next door neighbours, let alone the agony and hell of the Iraqi people. I've seen it proven.
Where were they when 5,000 were gassed in 1988? And not a peep last year when 6,000 political prisoners in Iraq were crucified because they were 'costing too much'.
'Not in My Name' means not my problem mate. Some people really don't care about human atrocities so long as they are not affected. They are just scared for them-selves.
We are all scared. People are terrified of travelling since 9/11 but those who truly care for humanity should divert their energy to raising desperately needed funds for the other heroic services - Unicef, the British Red Cross and others.
