WHEN Rotherham football fans suddenly started chanting "To me, to you" from the terraces, everybody knew there was only one double act that could elicit that kind of noise.

It was, of course, The Chuckle Brothers, back in their native town to film an episode of their BBC show Chucklevision.

To have their catchphrase chanted by fans of the team they grew up with was a truly memorable experience for the popular pair.

"We were big fans of the team, so it was great to be able to go on the pitch on match day," explained Barry Chuckle, aka Elliott, recalling some of the highlights of the programme's incredible 16-year run.

While other TV programmes have come and gone real-life brothers Barry, 58, and Paul, 55, are still drawing in millions of viewers of all ages -- including Barry's eight-month-old granddaughter Leonie.

And they are expecting mums, dads and grandparents, as well as children, to turn out for their latest adventure in Blackpool -- Star Doors.

The show follows last year's successful Indiana Jones spoof Radars of the Lost Bark and may lead to a Barry Potter production next year.

"I always enjoy playing in Blackpool," said Barry, who has toured there for the past eight years. "The Grand is a beautiful theatre and I enjoy going back there.

"We get a nice, family audience and we've also got quite a big student following -- the kids who grew up with us."

Paul and Barry are two of six siblings who grew up in a showbusiness family.

The comedy duo won Opportunity Knocks in 1967 and New Faces in 1974. They subsequently appeared in a best of New Faces programme alongside other stars from the series like Marti Caine, Lenny Henry, Jim Davidson and Victoria Wood.

You can catch Star Doors at the Blackpool Grand Theatre on April 17 and 18 at 2pm and 5pm. Call (01253) 290 190 for details.
