CRAIG Brown faces late fitness tests on three key players ahead of Saturday's trip to Brighton.
Keeper Jonathan Gould and defenders Rob Edwards and Marlon Broomes could all possibly return to the side if declared fit.
If not, Brown expects to field the same squad which lost away to Burnley in midweek. For that game, he had just 16 fit players.
Although North End won't be moving divisions this season, they could have an influence on those which do.
Brighton are currently locked in a basement battle and three points from North End are vital.
