ROVERS are closing in on a place in Europe after five wins from their last six games - and the form of midfielders Damien Duff and David Dunn has been a telling factor.

Dunn and Duff have both been linked with moves away from Ewood this summer and when you look at their Opta stats during the last few games it's easy to see why they might be coveted by other leading Premiership clubs.

Despite making just seven appearances between them in their team's last six games, the dynamic duo have weighed in with six goals and two assists between them, which has catapulted Rovers to within three points of sixth-placed Liverpool.

In total, Dunn and Duff (right) have scored and set up a total of 19 goals between them this term, despite missing large chunks of the campaign through injury, which underlines their importance to the side.

This adds to the 25 they scored or set up in 2001-02, proving that both have made huge contributions since the club gained promotion two seasons ago.

On top of that, Rovers are also top of the current form table, with their tally of 15 points from a possible 18 the best in the Premiership.

Manchester United, who Rovers face next weekend, are currently second in the table.
