NEARLY 300 people had their blood pressure tested during a stroke awareness day in Clitheroe.
The event was hosted in the Tesco car park by the Clitheroe and Ribblesdale Rotary Clubs. Clitheroe nurses Sandra Ashcroft, Trudy Howe, Avril McNeil and Ann Hall, along with Dr Mike Smith, who is a member of Ribblesdale Rotary, worked non-stop to undertake the tests.
The event was part of a national campaign run in conjunction with the Stroke Awareness Association aimed at raising awareness of the risks to health of high blood pressure.
