A MAN pulled from his blazing home in Blackburn on Friday night has died in a Manchester Hospital after suffering severe burns and inhaling smoke.
Michael Shillitoe, 51, of Aberdare Close, was transferred from Blackburn Royal Infirmary to Wythenshawe Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning but died later that day.
Firefighters have praised the actions of two of his neighbours who battled to free him from his home.
The carried buckets of water and trying to pull their friend free.
Police have informed Mr Shillitoe's relatives.
