DETECTIVES investigating a suspected arson attack at an historic home in Cliviger are to meet fire chiefs tomorrow.
The Holme, a former nursing home which dates back to the 15th century, was severely damaged by the fire on Friday.
A forensic scientist has also been asked to carry out an examination of the building, in Burnley Road.
A spokesman for Burnley CID said: "We are investigating the cause of the fire and will meet with the Fire and Rescue Service tomorrow.
"A forensic scientist will also look at the scene and we should know more about the origins of the fire after that."
Firefighters from Burnley, Nelson, Padiham and Accrington were called out to the blaze, which gutted the two-storey house.
