BLACKBURN-born fashion designer Wayne Hemingway today urged people to support homeless charity Shelter after he completed the London Marathon for the cause.
The 42-year-old, who established the world-renowned Red Or Dead fashion chain, took to the streets of London with tens of thousands of other runners to complete the 26-mile course on Sunday.
It isn't the first time he has run the marathon, although the course took him 20 minutes longer than last year.
Wayne said: "I finished it at 3 hours, 40 minutes, but I am a year older than I was last year, was tripped at six miles and it was also 20 degrees.
"I also got the mother of all stitches at 18 miles, but I suppose they are all excuses!
"I ran it for Shelter, who deserve all the money they can get."
