WORSTHORNE Mother's Union will be sharing in the Passover meal on Maundy Thursday, prior to the celebration of the Eucharist.
IN May and June Worsthorne Scouts are planning to hold a camping standards competiton and survival skills camp. The younger scouts will start canoe training in June with the aim of repeating last year's successful canoe camp in August.
COUNCILLOR Philip Walsh is co-ordinating the petition to keep Worsthorne with Hurstwood rural. Residents will be asked to sign a petition which supports the borough council's intention to keep the land between Pike Hill and Worsthorne and beyond rural. WORSTHORNE'S ever popular Bellringers have agreed to entertain the villagers at the annual parish meeting, to be held on Tuesday, May 13, at 7pm in the reading rooms. Burnley's expert on the Local Plan, Michael Wellock, will be there to answer any questions residents may have.
SWEET wine judging will take place at the Wine Club on Monday, April 28.
