ROVERS' Under 19s will face Manchester City in the play-off semi-finals next weekend.
Rob Kelly's side had already qualified for the knockout stages long before last Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Birmingham.
And now they know their opponents in the last four after City finished top of the other northern group.
The winner of that game will then face either West Ham or Aston Villa in the national final.
Meanwhile, Kelly took the chance to rest a number of players at the weekend as Rovers completed their league programme against Birmingham.
Peter Corvino fired Rovers ahead with a brilliant solo goal after just 18 seconds but the Blues fought back with a goal in each half to claim all the points.
Rovers still won their group by a whopping nine points, however, which earned them their place in the play-offs.
