BETTY'S Blues - a piano and vocal jazz/blues duo based in Lancaster between 1993 and 1998 - is coming 'home' for a special concert this weekend.
'Boogie' Bill Roberts on piano and, Liz 'The Biz' Jackson will play at the Gregson Centre in Lancaster on Saturday to celebrate the launch of their long-awaited debut CD.
Bill and Liz began playing together in Lancaster but split when both moved away from the area - Brian to London and Liz to Cornwall.
They have returned to the area a couple of times a year to play at jazz and blues festivals and are back this weekend following the 'cutting' of their CD, which Bill says is something their friends and fans have been pestering them to do for years.
It also coincides with their 10th anniversary, so they are hoping for a real party atmosphere at the launch at the Gregson Centre, Moor Lane, starting at 8pm on Saturday.
Tickets will be available at the door for £4 and £3 (conc and Gregson members).
