A MUM ran the London Marathon wearing angel wings to raise cash for the neo-natal unit which saved her twin babies.
Beryl Thomas, 51, of Hesketh Street, Darwen, suffered swollen feet and hands and dozens of blisters, but said today: "I wouldn't have missed it for the world."
She has still to collect most of the cash but has a blank cheque made payable to the hospital waiting to have the figures filled in.
She will present it to the hospital alongside daughters Katie and Kelly, now 22, who spent two months being treated in the unit after they were born 10 weeks premature.
Of the race, Beryl said: "The heat was unbelievable and it really hurt. The last two miles I was crying like a baby. It was much harder than I thought it would be.
"But I saw the sights and the crowds were massive."
