ON a visit to our usual supermarket we came across a new phenomenon -- supermarket rage.
Indeed, while in the store the trolley of customer using a mobile phone prevented us from getting to the goods we needed.
Politely I asked him if he would kindly excuse me but he suddenly turned on me with a torrent of abuse. Then he stormed off only to return -- saying we'd better sort this outside!
We treated this person with the contempt he deserved refusing to be intimidated. However, we saw the funny side of the situation -- seeing him both as a chump and a clown.
Incidentally he was no youngster, in fact he was middle aged.
