BOB Ginley hit his first hole in one during Colne Golf Club's ELGA qualifier on Saturday.
He struck the ace at the short par three 16th hole but it wasn't enough to secure him a top four place.
The top four qualifiers were winner Roy Sharpe, Brian Bullock, Roy MacKenzie and Brian Hurlstone. Martin Taylor shot the best gross.
There was also a hole in one at Glen View on Saturday as Burnley past captain Clifford Hopwood took just a single shot to complete the 11th hole.
Burnley beat Nelson by 45 points in the Gordon Leggate Putter stableford competition.
