A STUDENT who flouted a court order was told by Burnley magistrates he had not made any effort at all to comply with it.
The bench said Mohammed Yousaf, 19, 'couldn't be bothered' with the 240 hour community punishment order imposed for driving while disqualified.
They imposed a curfew order on the defendant and said he would have to be bothered now, as he would have to stay in for three months.
Yousaf was ordered to stay indoors on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 8am and 8pm. The justices added he would not be tagged the days he was at college and that meant he would have plenty of time at home to catch up on his work.
The defendant, of Maurice Street, Nelson, admitted breach of a community punishment order.
The court was told Yousaf had done almost 96 hours of the 240 imposed under the order.
Graeme Tindall, defending, said Yousaf had got behind with his studies.
