BLEAKHOLT Animal Sanctuary in Ramsbottom is giving people the chance to adopt a tree.
For £30 visitors to the sanctuary in Rochdale Road, Edenfield, can have a five feet Oak, Elm or Hornbeam tree planted in the Autumn.
Sponsors can also help to decide the location of the tree. All money raised by the tree sponsoring scheme will go towards the annual running costs of the sanctuary.
The tree will also have a plaque commemorating its planting. Without a plaque it will cost £20.
A series of open days are being held at the sanctuary this year where more information about the sponsored trees programme will be available.
The next open day is due to take place on July 13.
