BLACKBURN with Darwen Borough Youth Service hosted a multicultural awareness day for a group of girls from the 'girls' activity project' at Mill Hill and from Bangor St Community Centre.
The girls from different communities got together with Action Factory Community Arts, Pearson Street, to learn about each other's cultural beliefs and have fun.
Coun Mahfooz Hussain, executive member for education and lifelong learning
said: "This is a superb opportunity for the girls activity project to take part in and work together as a group.
"The awareness day has given the girls the chance to look at more diverse cultures through different perceptions."
Kate Clements, youth service manager said, "This is a great example of how the Youth Service can bring together groups of young people from across the borough and help them understand and learn about each other."
