A PUB Idol contest has been pulling in the crowds at The Intack Inn, Blackburn -- but landlady Lynne Hall has proved not everyone is a Gareth Gates in the making.
The karaoke contest at the pub has been a major hit with punters since a £35,000 makeover by pub company Burtonwood Brewery.
The Accrington Road tavern has been refurbished throughout, enabling licensees Lynne and husband John to expand the entertainment facilities.
Lynne and John, who were regulars of the Intack before they took it over 10 years ago, said the changes have made a real difference to business.
Lynne said: "Trade is really thriving now. The Intack is a real community pub. I'd like to think we play a vital role in village life and it's great that Burtonwood recognises this."
And Lynne and John are already testing out their new facilities with the 'Pub Idol' competition. Seven weekly heats remain before the grand final.
Lynne said: "Pub entertainment is very popular in this area, and our karaoke contest has really been pulling in the crowds."
