VISITORS will be able to find out more about the workings of hospital radio next month during an open weekend in Rossendale.
Hospital Radio Rossendale will be open to the public between 1 and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11.
Visitors will be shown how the station works, they will be able to hear broadcasts and chat to radio volunteers about becoming a volunteer themselves.
Publicity officer Pauline Haines said: "Hospital Radio is a bright service, serving patients and staff at Rossendale Hospital.
"This is a great chance to support your local hospital and meet the volunteers.
"Come along and meet us, you might even end up deciding to volunteer."
Radio Rossendale was founded in December 1979 and was originally part of the League of Friends.
