A RAMSBOTTOM pub is celebrating a thriving Easter weekend which saw thousands of people enjoy a drink at the bar.
The Hare and Hounds in Holcombe Brook has held events over the break for a number of years -- with the busiest day being Good Friday when people traditionally walk up Holcombe Hill.
People travel from all over the North West to visit the popular watering hole.
Police were on stand-by at the four corners of the Holcombe Brook junction due to the sheer number of people in the area.
Plastic glasses were given to customers to promote safety while people enjoyed the glorious spring sunshine.
Andy Grant, Hare and Hounds manager, said: "This must have been our biggest Good Friday event so far.
"Very few people had to be ejected from the pub.
"I was determined that this would be a fun day for everyone. With such a large crowd their was bound to be rubbish left so I have ordered cleaning vehicles from Bury Council to clean up any debris in the area outside the pub after the event which I will be paying for myself.
"We now look forward to next year's event to see if we can attract even more people."
