SOMETIME in the near future, the Pathfinder scheme is going to start in Blackburn, where run-down areas will be regenerated and my area, Little Harwood, at long last is one of them.
Just before work begins, it would be a good idea if the council held a public meeting in Little Harwood to explain to all residents the standards that need to be kept up after regeneration -- that is, no dumping of rubbish and furniture, residents having to sweep their paths and pick up rubbish.
It is up to residents to take pride in their areas and to give a thought to others who want to live in a clean environment.
I have lived in this area for more than half a century and I have seen it go from bad to worse because of the irresponsible, could-not-care-less people who now live here.
