THE Weaver's Triangle Visitor Centre in Burnley has re-opened for the summer season.
This year, in addition to the usual exhibits about the town's textile industry and the canal, there is a temporary display on leisure in Burnley in the 20th century.
The display, mounted in association with Burnley Local Studies Library, features exhibits on theatre, music, cinema, dancing and Burnley's famous parks.
A collection of programmes includes several from the time when the Old Vic and Sadler's Wells Opera and Ballet companies had their headquarters in Burnley during the Second World War.
The Visitor Centre will be open between 2-4pm from Saturday to Tuesday until the end of September and on Sundays in October. Admission is free.
A short walk along the canal towpath is also the restored Oak Mount Mill Engine House which will be open on May 25, June 21, July 20, August 23 and September 13.
