FIREFIGHTERS were called to Perth Street, Burnley, earlier today after a suspected arson attack.
And police said they were called to the same address last night after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance.
Firefighters said a window at the front of the house was smashed and a fire started at 4.45am.
No-one was injured in the blaze and the occupant, a 19-year-old woman, was out at the time.
A fire service spokesman said: "It looked as though someone had gone past the house and smashed a window. Then they have either gone in or thrown something in which set fire to the living room."
The living room of the house and its contents were severely damaged by fire and the remainder of the first floor damaged by smoke.
A police spokesman said they were investigating the fire and an earlier domestic incident.
