LOCAL rivals Torrisholme and Bare met in a pre-season cricket friendly at the weekend - with Torrisholme running out victors.
Batting first, the home side made a respectable 156 for 7, with Osmotherley (44) and Jackson (45) top-scoring.
Bare briefly threatened the total as Westworth hit 36 but the introduction of new signing Paul Batty's medium pace worked the oracle and he picked up three quick wickets.
Bare, who were without some first choice players through football commitments, were bowled out for 124 from the last ball of their innings.
