NORTH End captain Chris Lucketti was presented with the PSG Player of the Year Trophy on Saturday in front of a packed Preston Grasshoppers Club.
In an extremely large poll Chris came out top in front of last year's winner Richard Cresswell.
Lee Cartwright was also presented with an award from the supporters group for his long service and dedication to PNE.
Craig Brown, his coaching staff and most of the first team squad were there along with ex-team mates of Lee Cartwright.
It was a very good night. Here's to the next one!
On the playing front a fine win on Saturday in blustery conditions against play-off placed Sheffield Utd was followed on Monday with a disappointing defeat at empty Selhurst Park.
1,053 people turned out on Monday to witness a rather drab game.
But it must be very difficult for visiting sides to play in such a bad atmosphere, and will it really improve when this lot sneak off to Milton Keynes?
Judging by the fact that they can't fill a free coach from Milton Keynes to Selhurst Park, with a reduced price match ticket thrown in, we don't think so.
The injury jinx to our strikers again after 30 off minutes against the blades, when Richard Cresswell limped off with an ankle knock. Leaving inexperienced pair Pawel Abbot and Simon Lynch up front.
And it looks like that's how it will stay for the remainder of the season seeing that Craig Brown has no intention of recalling David Healy from his loan at Norwich. And who can blame him?
