SOME of the best new comedy talent is in Preston next month.
The Stand and Deliver Comedy Club, at the University of Central Lancashire's students union venue hall, is holding its first ever comedy weekender starting on May 2.
When the club opened its doors three years ago with a show by Peter Kay, just 159 people turned up.
Now Stand and Deliver has featured 230 comedians from around the world and thousands in the audience.
On Friday Northern Ireland funnyman, Colin Murphy will be joined by Stefano Paolini from Italy and Rhys Darby from New Zealand.
On Saturday local man Dave Spikey takes to the stage for a sell-out show with but the lucky few with tickets in for a treat.
Sunday winds the weekend to a close with Paul Zerdin topping the bill.
Tickets are priced £5 to £8, from the students union reception, Fylde Road or call 01772 513200.
Or pop into the tourist information office on Lancaster Road.
