NEARLY 5,000 young people in the borough are entitled to vote for the first time in the local elections.
And the Electoral Commission is urging those in Radcliffe to make their voice heard so they get a say in how Bury is run.
Spokesman Nicole Smith said: "Recent months have seen thousands of young people take to the streets on issues that affect them, so we know that they feel strongly.
"Local elections decide how things such as schools, hospitals and transport will be run -- all things which affect young people. They have a real part to play in shaping their community."
