RED Rose Month, the fundraising drive for Bury Hospice, goes from strength to strength.
Since its launch on April 1 money-making events such as a fancy dress bowling evening and a sponsored run up Holcombe Hill have already taken place.
Socially -- as always -- the highlight has been the annual Red Rose Dinner and Ball at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich.
More than 100 people dug deep into their pockets to enjoy a five-course meal and musical entertainment by the group, Snapshot.
Bury Hospice fundraising manager Mr Mervyn Reeves said: "It was a successful and enjoyable evening, raising more than £1,000".
On Wednesday night there was a St George's Day Concert at Radcliffe Civic Suite featuring the Band of the Lancashire Fusiliers.
