A TWENTY-year-old Bury man has been named as the victim of a head-on crash in Bolton.
Greg Williams of Watling Street, Bury -- on the Seddons Farm Estate -- died after being admitted to Royal Bolton Hospital following the crash last Thursday in Bradshaw Road.
He was reportedly trapped for 30 minutes until cut free by firemen after the Renault Clio V6 saloon, in which he was a passenger, was in collision with a van.
The dead man is the second youngest of five grown-up children. His father, who was married twice, died 13 years ago.
The car driver, a 22-year-old friend of Greg's from Leigh, is now out of hospital. The van driver, aged 38, from Haslingden is out of intensive care in the Royal Preston Hospital. He has a head injury.
A post mortem is to be held and the funeral is expected to take place early next week.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to the accident to contact Bolton Traffic Unit on 0161 856 5972.
