THE Cheshire Dogs' Home is making a special appeal for one of its long-stay dogs, Megan.

Megan is a medium-sized, brindle and white female. She was only 18 months old when she was admitted to the Home in April 2001 - yes, that is over two years ago.

Staff at the Home cannot understand why Megan has been overlooked as she is an attractive dog, not too big.

One of the reasons for her long stay may be the fact that she does not show herself well to people as she is quite shy at first and will not push herself to the front but once she gets to know you, she is very friendly and affectionate.

Megan would suite a young family or a person who is a keen walker and who can give her the exercise she needs. Megan loves to go for walks and play "fetch"

The staff at the Home feel that she would make an ideal family pet as she is affectionate and friendly with people, she is good with other dogs and she has been neutered and microchipped. Megan would dearly love a family of her own.

Anyone who could give Megan a home should contact the Cheshire Dogs' Home (225 Knutsford Road, Grappenhall, Warrington) which is open six days a week.

Kennel hours are 1pm-5pm Tuesday to Saturday and 1pm-4pm on Sundays. The telephone number is 01925 269500.
