ONE hundred former nurses turned up to celebrate fifty years of the annual reunions.
The former employees, who were all trained at Blackburn Royal Infirmary, enjoyed a three-course lunch alongside special guest speakers.
Reverend Canon Glynn Webster, who trained at the hospital from 1969 to 1974, travelled from York Minster to be at the event. The reunion was also attended by Frank Goff, former unit general manager.
Yvonne Jump, chair of Blackburn Hospitals Nurses League, said: "It was a very special event and the oldest person there was 88-years-old.
