LOVING homes are needed for a litter of ten puppies which are currently being looked after at Glencoe Kennels in Blackburn.
Originally the litter of labrador/collie crosses numbered 15 but homes have been found for five of the six-week-old puppies.
Kennels proprietor Kathy Dewhurst said: "They've come from Chorley where an elderly woman had a bitch that hadn't been spayed, that somehow got outside the house.
"We're looking to give them to people who can offer a good, loving, permanent home.
"It just shows how important it is to get your dog neutered to prevent this type of thing happening."
Anyone interested can contact the Kennels on 01254 261446. The pups have been wormed and treated for ticks and fleas and the kennel will microchip the dogs free of charge when they are old enough.
