CONTRARY to the sensible views expressed by Andrew Rosthorn (Letters, April 18), Ms Ruth Marriner (Letters, April 8) evidently belongs to the 16 per cent of the respondents to your Friday Jury (April 4) who resolutely ignore the mass of evidence demonstrating beyond question that road humps are more harmful than beneficial.
However, now that the voice of the people in this great democracy of ours has been so resoundingly heard, we may now expect to see gangs of eager workmen zealously removing these inverted potholes and restoring to our roads the chief characteristic which nature intended then to have -- a level surface?
