STRIKER Gareth Taylor swept the board in last night's player of the season awards.
Taylor, who has grabbed 17 goals this season, picked up 11 of the 13 player of the season honours on offer, Graham Branch got one, while the pair shared another.
The delighted Welsh international said: "I'd heard little whispers that I might have won the odd trophy but I was really surprised and really pleased to win the majority of them.
"It's been a difficult season probably for the supporters to watch, then again we've had some decent games and a decent cup run and I've managed to score a few goals so hopefully that's given them something to shout about."
Taylor was closely followed by Branch for the majority of the awards and paid tribute to his team-mate.
"Branchy's had a great season and I think the awards would have been shared out a lot more if he hadn't have picked up a couple of niggly injuries at the start of the season.
"But he's done great and I'm really pleased for him because this is probably the longest run of games he's had with the nasty injuries he's had and he's done really well."
Matthew O'Neill picked up most of the awards for young player of season, while Joel Pilkington was handed the John Watson Trophy for young player of the season, which is voted for by everyone at Burnley Football Club.
