FACTORY staff who posed for a cheeky Christmas calendar are celebrating their success today after hearing sales had raised £2,775 for charity.
The calendar, which included women from Burnley's Veka factory, went on sale throughout Christmas, with more than 500 copies being sold in East Lancashire.
The Veka girls have decided to donate the money to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The challenge came after the group of 19 from the Farringdon Road site were photographed in saucy outfits, including basques and bike leathers.
They were responding to men at the factory, which makes uPVC windows and doors, who raised hundreds of pounds with a similar stunt the previous year.
They girls underwent a professional make-over and photoshoot to make them the ultimate office pin-ups.
Personal assistant Vicky Naughton, 29, from Colne, is among those who posed in her slinky black dress.
She said: "We have been overwhelmed by the number of calendars we have sold. We have still got some left but we decided to call it a day and get the money collected.
"We are now preparing to make an official presentation to the cancer charity."
The calendar girls will present Marie Curie representative, Lyn Fenton with the cheque next Wednesday morning.
Lyn, Community Fundraising Manager for Lancashire, said: "This was completely unexpected so it has come as a wonderful surprise. The money will be used to support people in the latter stages of cancer, enabling them to stay in the comfort of their own homes at the end of their lives. We are extremely grateful for the donation and would like to thank everybody involved."
