A NUMBER of first team players were due to have a run-out in this afternoon's Burnley reserve game against Bury at Turf Moor (kick-off 2pm).
Reserve team manager Ronnie Jepson expected to be able to play midfielders Tony Grant and Brad Maylett, as well as striker Robbie Blake and defender Arthur Gnohere.
Goalkeeper Marlon Beresford was expected to start the game, with substitute stopper Nik Michopoulos possibly getting 45 minutes.
Jepson said: "There will be a few professionals playing this afternoon with a few of our younger players mixed in."
The home game against Bury was due to be their last Avon Insurance game of the season.
But Tranmere Rovers had to re-arrange their first team game against Mansfield Town for last night after the fixture had to be abandoned on Saturday - resulting in the reserve game against the Clarets being put back until Friday.
That game will now take place at Prenton Park, kick-off 2pm.
