I HAVE to admit I couldn't believe the Burnley scoreline when I heard about it on Saturday.
And I can't imagine a worse match than away to Wimbledon to try to bounce back from that result, or end the season on.
With everything that's been happening with the Dons regarding their move to Milton Keynes and temporary home at my old stomping ground Selhurst Park, they've had low attendances pretty much all season. And even though it's the last match of the season, which no matter how you've fared fans tend to look forward to, I can't see Sunday being any different.
Nevertheless, I imagine a few Clarets fans will still make the journey, and the team will be looking to bow out in style. And it would be nice to finish that way and be on the right end of a good scoreline.
On a personal note, it was great to come back to Turf Moor for the Player of the Season presentation night. It was nice to meet up with the lads again, see the supporters and sign a few autographs.
It capped a good few days for me because, although I'm going to be missing out on Burnley's end of season trip to Portugal, I'll be involved in the play-offs with Reading.
Our place in the top six was sealed with a 2-1 win at Grimsby, which I marked by scoring my first goal since starting my loan deal.
And I have to say it's been a long time coming.
Keepers have made saves and I've had a couple off the line. And at Preston, I took the ball round the keeper and, with an open goal, he brought me down, got sent off and we were awarded a penalty.
If things had gone my way I probably could have had four or five goals so far. I haven't done anything wrong but it just hasn't been going in.
But I finally put it away and got off the mark on Saturday after the left back put a good ball in and it bounced in front of our centre forward and their centre half. They both missed and luckily it fell to me quite nicely and I managed to put it into the corner.
It got us off to a good start then we were cruising after that. So it was nice to see that go in and hopefully there are a few more to come.
When I went down there I was expecting to make the play-offs and, I think looking at the fixture list, you'd have felt we should have got in them and we have done.
So it's gone pretty much according to plan. I always knew the tough job to come would have been the play-offs and, depending on who we get, possibly Wolves or Nottingham Forest I think.
I wasn't involved in the 3-0 win at Watford last night because a handful of us were rested in preparation for the play-offs.
It will be tough but it's something to look forward to and I'm ready for my first taste of the play-offs.
