THE son of a 61-year-old woman spoke of his on-going trauma after finding her dead.
Michael Craig Edgar, of Huddersfield, discovered the body of his mother, Pamela, in her bed at her home in Foxwood Chase, Burnley Road, Accrington, in January.
The widow had been suffering from acute depression, debilitating psoriasis and sciatica an inquest heard.
She had consumed 23 times the medicinal levels of paracetamol and left a farewell note for her son. Coroner Michael Singleton recorded a verdict of suicide.
He added: "It is always very upsetting and reliving these moments is very difficult.
"Her psoriasis had come back with a vengeance and she could not tolerate it or could not see a way out."
Mr Edgar added: "I had arranged to visit her but no-one answered the door so I had to get a key from someone. I discovered that she had passed away. I know she was not happy since dad died."
