CHINESE food handlers are invited to a food hygiene course in Clitheroe on Monday, May 19.
The event is hosted at the Ribble Valley Town Hall, in Church Street, by Ribble Valley Council environmental health officers and consultant food hygiene trainer Peter Tang, who will translate into Chinese and Cantonese.
Ribble Valley Council environmental health officer Louise Hilton, said: "The provision of food hygiene training to staff handling high-risk foods is a legal requirement. It has been difficult in the past to find local courses in Chinese and Cantonese, therefore, it is essential that food handlers with no food hygiene training attend.
"It will also be of value to Chinese food handlers who have not received refresher training for five years." The course, priced £55, takes place from 9am to 4.30pm and includes refreshments. Participants will receive the Chinese Food Handlers Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene. Further details are available from Louise Hilton, on 01200 414557 or Peter Tang, on 07944 539082.
