A ROSSENDALE man has appeared in court at Rochdale as a result of an accident involving a cyclist.
Alan Wayne Yerkess, 40, of Osbourne Terrace, Stacksteads, is accused of driving dangerously in Rochdale Road East, Heywood.
He also faces a charge of failing to stop after an accident in which cyclist Andrew Cowin, 27, from Heywood, suffered injury, and failing to report the accident to the police within a specified period.
Mr Cowin suffered cuts and bruises following a collision near the junction with Matthew Moss Lane early on Saturday morning.
He was released following treatment at hospital.
The hearing was adjourned until May 14.
Yerkess was granted unconditional bail.
