IN your article (LET, April 24) about house prices near the M65 Services development at Darwen, planning chairman Councillor Frank Connor says that local residents have been kept informed along every step of the way of this development.
Residents were assured that the only access to the Services would be from the motorway. So while we were informed of developments, we were either not told the truth of seriously misinformed.
Also, after the last planning meeting, residents were assured that something would be done about the problems we were facing before the next meeting.
Again, either they have long breaks between meetings (the last was in January) or we were not told the truth or misinformed again.
I wonder if our local councillors would be so slipshod about things if we had been voting with the rest of the country on Thursday?
